It’s a mad dash to Christmas Day …
or is it?
Because honestly it’s not feeling all that mad. Or all that dash-y this year.
Like seriously, is it just me or does it feel like the days leading up to Christmas are moving at a snail’s pace?
Perhaps it’s because I’m done with all the shopping and just have some wrapping left to do?
Perhaps it’s because I really didn’t have too many presents to purchase this year? The kids both wanted a big ticket (translation: big price tag) item. So there’s not much to wrap …
under the tree is going to look a bit sparse on Christmas morn.
Perhaps it’s because this Christmas is pretty low-key? Just the four of us. Plus my daughter has to work on both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day so those celebrations are going to look different this year.
Or perhaps it’s because I’m getting on a flight the day after Christmas to California to join my childhood best friend in celebrating her 60th birthday?
Either way, I’m not complaining.
Just observing … 🙂
