I’ve said this before … and I will say this again …
… out here in the world known as home diy blogland, there are an infinite number of crazy creative women (and men) making crazy creative creations …
And Autum at Creative Little Daisy is one crazy creative — and power tool proficient – lady that stands out in the crowd …
(And don’t we all have at least one of these shots of ourselves ….?
… because we haven’t bothered reading the full 10,000 page on-line PDF manual to figure out how to set the timer?)
Autum caught my attention recently with her palletless pallet wall (here) …
It’s amazing … inspiring … and a true representation of the “Imagine the Impossibilities” blog challenge …
I think many of us admire …okay, covet … all those pallet walls popping up in blogland and on Pinterest …

But for me – well, that is until I discovered Autum’s Creative Little Daisy blog – it was an “impossible” that I could never possibly do ….
… what will all that sanding and cutting with power tools …
On top of which, where are people finding all those unused pallets …?
I live in Chicago. We are a city of alleys … the place where you place things that have no possible hope of a second life …
… even for the thriftiest and handiest of us …
… and if I see a pallet discarded in the alley, I run. No to. But away. Far, far away. You see, I’m pretty sure that discarded pallet is now home to the very vermin that I spend a lot of money each year trying to keep OUT of my house …
… why in the world would I willingly bring them IN?
But Autum took that challenge head on. Who needs those heavy, bulky, rough pallets to create a pallet wall? Not Autum, that’s who.
You see, her husband nixed the pallet idea. But Autum took that as a challenge … an “impossibility,” if you will …
… and hit upon a “possibility” that could be cut with a coping saw and/or utility knife and/or box cutters …
Be sure to click here and then here to see how Autum “imagined the impossibilities” and created something truly beautiful …
… and I hope you are too …
… inspired enough to take the “Imagine the Impossibilities” challenge with us. Click here to learn more …
Autum has signed up … and I can’t wait to learn more about her “impossibility” and check out her “after” at our January 31 multi-blog link party …

Wow! Autumn’s wall is awesome. So glad she’s taking the challenge. Look forward to see what her impossible is! And Linda, if I see you running down and alley I’ll assume you just saw a pallet. 🙂

okay, you just made me laugh! And now I’m completely complex-ed about why I can respond directly to each post as a sub post.

Linda, you have me blushing at your amazingly kind words. When you told me you would like to feature my pallet wall, I expected you’d post a photo or two and a link. I certainly didn’t expect such a glowing review. Remind me to call you if I ever need to write a resume.
I’m so glad to accept your challenge to get moving on that impossible project. Thanks for being so generous and encouraging.

That’s my impossible, learning how to use power tools!!!! I always have to rely on the hubby for the ‘tough stuff’! I’d really like to learn myself and not have to wait for him to do it for me!!

Oh, Linda, I really like those pallet walls.
A pallet headboard would make me swoon.
And, a headboard is on our list of Home Goals.
Hmm.
Anyway, I’m excited to be joining your challenge.
Our “before” pics of our kitchen should be up soon.
We’re nearing the end and I’m so excited!
Wishing you all the best,

I love the pallet wall too! I don’t think it would fit in our home, but the photos are wonderful. And I’m full of admiration for Autum and her work.
My “impossibility” of crocheting a blanket looks pretty tame next to that! Still, thank you for your welcome and your kind words. I look forward to being part of the “Mission Impossible” team!

This is fantastic! And oddly enough, I JUST pinned that first pic. So glad to have found both you and her! I live in Kansas, where we have literal stacks and piles of pallets laying unclaimed. Let me know, I’ll send a few your way. 😉
