Sometimes I think each month in The Year of the Blog is competing with one another.
Nothing sordid or dirty. Nothing on the scale of a Presidential election.
It’s more of a good humored, spirited, healthy competition.
January came out strong; Rocky-like. Running up those stairs with determination. Jumping up and down at the top, fist bumping air. Followed by an impressive February and March. Three months that could hold their heads up high …
and, lucky for me, three months fueled by holidays and events that provided fodder for crafts.
And then there’s April.
Sigh.
The Year of the Blog momentum fell short in April. Perhaps the crazy of managing two blogs and an Etsy shop flooded with orders caught up with me. Because, in April, all I wanted to do was read novels, like The Girl on The Train (a real page turner). And binge watch television shows, like The Last Man on Earth (uncomfortably and cringe-worthy funny).
I almost skipped the whole April in review post. But that wouldn’t be fair. Not to me. And not to April.
Because sprinkled throughout that novel-reading-television-binge-watching month, I did squeak out a few head-holding-high projects …
they were just fewer. And farther between.
But now it’s May. And, unlike April, I’m starting the month with a calendar of posts and projects.
And I’m readying myself to jog up those stairs again …
🙂
