I am a bi-product of the Golden Age of Television.

 

I am an advertiser’s dream …

 

and a parent’s worst nightmare.

 

From that first episode of Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood watched sitting crossed legged on the floor with my nose pressed against the Zenith television console, I was hooked.

 

Friday nights were built around The Brady Bunch and The Partridge Family. Saturday’s around The Love Boat and Fantasy Island.  ABC’s afternoon movie of the week dictated my homework and study schedule.

 

We even had a small black & white set in the kitchen that I watched while peeling potatoes for dinner.

 

So it should come as no surprise that, as I grew older, I grew into a bona fide couch potato.

 

And it should come as no surprise that I got sucked into a television binge watching marathon last week.

 

I blame my daughter.

 

It started innocently enough. With an Entourage movie preview. On television. My daughter turned to me and asked if I ever watched the show. I said no. Mostly because the show’s run coincided with the time I shunned HBO. Post Sex and the City I cut out premium channels to reduce our cable bill. We were belt-tightening.

 

But a free Game of Thrones binge watch lured me back to the HBO family last year.

 

So it should come as no surprise that my binge watching of Entourage cut into my creating time.

 

And creativity.

 

* sigh *

 

I’m on season 5 of 8. Let’s hope I can finish it up on this holiday weekend.

 

Only thing, the beautiful weather is luring me outside …

😉

 

I do have some projects in the works, though. Like some diy art.

And the wall on which it will be hung.

 

Both of which were scheduled for completion — and to be shared here — last week.

 

Oops.

 

Oh, and I’ve been asked to sample some ice cream.

I know, I know. I’m living the hard life ….

I really need to do something with my Instagram account. I have one, but haven’t posted a single picture. Yet. But this guy? His Instagram account is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! A true work of art {here}.
