And so it comes to an end …
Spring break, that is.
The daughter is ready for her Washington, D.C. trip next month. It only took two hours, but she now has a Illinois state ID in hand featuring a picture she despises. Something about her head being shaped like a potato and a crooked nose …
I see neither.
All I see is a beautiful young lady … and wonder how did that happen so fast? Where has my little squishy armed and legged baby girl gone?
The son was pried from his permanently parked spot on the couch and made the rounds in search of a part time/summer job.
Fingers crossed something comes through. Otherwise, he’ll be low on cash next year at college …
😉
And since Spring break was a staycation for me, it was internet cruising as usual. Here are some things that caught my eye …
Best comments thread on the internet (here). Ever. And a reminder to take care when naming your kids. They’re the ones who’ll have to live with it. Forever.
This video about people leaving Facebook is just too true (here). And funny!
Finally ….
I know, I know. I’m way too old to be keeping up with the Kardashians. But I have to admit, I’m a bit fascinated with Kyle Jenner’s lip transformation. Don’t hate me. I just don’t understand. And I keep seeing it on magazine covers in the supermarket check out. If you’re with me on this, then you’ll find this Buzzfeed video (here) of real women trying her lip plumping trick with liner and lipstick enlightening and scary and funny …
Hope you’re having a fabulous weekend! Happy to report it’s finally sunny and warm here in Chicago!

P.S. Looking back at the month can be a scary prospect. Like going to the dentist. I’m always afraid it will be bad news. Which, in this case, means I wouldn’t have any original projects to reflect on. Luckily, March turned out to be a pretty active month. Here are the links to my favorite March projects and posts (in case you missed any) …
Spring Hydrangea Wreath | Entry Cleaning & Organizing | Pot of Gold Topiary | Weight Watchers Sesame Chicken | Weight Watchers Cauliflower Poppers | My Surprise Delivery | The Perfect Gray Paint Color | Ikea Mirror Makeover | Spray Paint A Bedframe Gold | Chandelier Wall Stencil

Names are so permanent. We chose easy first ones because Carespodi is a mouthful.

I had so much fun reading the name link…seems like some of the parents should’ve thought some of those names through better! 😉

Will keep fingers crossed for you and son he gets a nice summer job. Good preparation for adult hood. When our kids turned 18, had graduated from high school it was understood they would get job, no lying around all summer or mooching Mom for spending money. Pretty stiff tuff love but they got it and were good kids, not always very nice but good.
When youngest son went to live with his brother at 19 he told me being an adult sucked, the bills just keep coming in.
Yeah tell us about it. Try supporting etc. 4 kids. They all had to get their own car insurance also.
But they’re all pretty responsible, (except for oldest daughter, she wanted to be a beach bum, still does at 54/soon to be 55, lol.) She’s getting better in her old age I guess about working (per oldest son that lives in San Diego area also).
Kids go thru hard time during their later years of being an adolescent, they never think they look like what they think they should. Just have to sympathize and count to ten a lot. Adolescent/teenage girls can be quite dramatic, hope yours isn’t.
Hope you have good week, Glad daughter got her id card.
