Pink and Navy Living Room – Decorating Ideas for Spring.
This time next week I’ll be in New York.
Alone.
Mike and the kids will hold down the fort as I reconnect with college sorority sisters …
Alpha Chi Omega sorority sisters who I haven’t seen or spoken to in 30 years.
30 years!!!!
I’m also squeezing in a mini reunion with my former co-workers who I haven’t seen in over 20 years.
over 20 years!!!
Through the power of Facebook, we’ve reconnected. And I’ve been able to piece together pieces of their lives — milestones likes graduations and weddings and major trips and major moves and major career changes — that they’ve decided to share on Facebook.
But we all know that is a tiny microcosm of their real 50-something lives.
So off I’m looking forward to finding out what’s really going on behind those smiling Facebook photos.
🙂
Now, to say I’ve been preparing for this trip would be an understatement. There has been lots of cottage cheese, lots of trips to the gym and lots and lots of Pinterest pins as I tried to pull together the perfect outfits.
So, naturally, I’ve stared to fall apart. Physically. And literally …
There is a burgeoning cold sore blossoming on my lower lip. I fear it will be a doozy.
A blemish has formed on my chin and has stubbornly stayed securitly in place for the past two weeks. We are in a constant battle and the blemish is winning.
And then there’s the sty. In the eye.
I don’t even know what to do with that one.
Sigh.
I’ve also been working on a summer home tour before heading out ….
which reminded me that I never shared some pictures of the Spring pink and navy living room.
So here you go …
before I go.
Literally.
And physically. 😉
Here’s the full series of Spring home tour posts. Featuring blue and pink.

Love your spaces!!! For that blemish?? ???Windex??(Big Fat Greek Wedding). You’ll have soo much fun!!! Just finishing up a study on the book The Comparison Trap. Four bloggers helped lead the group. Book by Sandy and Andy Stanley. It’s a great book to help me to get out of the Comparison Trap as there’s no win in Comparison!!! They talk about the Land of Er. Not a happy place. Where she’s pretti-ER. Skinni-ER. Husbands rich-ER. Kids have jobs that are Bett-ER. Etc. all tied to Bible verses to remind us God made us and knew us before we were formed!! That we are to display Fruits of the Spirit and if I’ve got envy I’m not giving off much love or joy!!! It’s a great read. Daily stuff. Weekly app message. Love it. May redo it just to get it to sink in!!!!
Now you leave the Land of ER behind and enjoy New York!!!!!

Gwen, I Love your comments, and the Book, makes so much sense. The Land of Er. Yes, I Love getting together with my old friends, just remember , they are going through the same thoughts. At some point we all forget all of those comparisons, and are just so Happy to see each other, That is the Best of times.
Linda says
I agree with both you ladies! The Land of Er is a dangerous place! 🙂

What a gorgeous living room. I don’t remember seeing a decor based in these two colors, pink and navy, and I must say I really like the combination. So beautiful!!
Linda says
Thank you so much! I did have to apologize to the “boys” in the house for “girling” it up for Spring this year! 🙂
Marian says
Beautiful! I found an old post about your living room update and see that you mention the rug being from Rugs USA. I’m trying to find it, but can’t 🙁 do you happen to have a sku or style number? Thank you so much!!!
Linda says
Unfortunately they don’t carry it anymore! But the brand name is Heritage and the Style # is HJHK08A and there’s a website http://www.nuloom.com on the tag too. Good luck!

I love you navy and pink living room! Can you tell me the fabric manufacturer of the pillows with the hot pink flowers? Or better yet, perhaps where to buy those pillows? 😀
Linda says
Thank you so much! And now I must offer my apologies. After much sleuthing I can’t for the life of me find out where I purchased that fabric! I shop frequently online for fabric, either through Etsy sellers for onlinefabric.net but couldn’t find it at either site. I could very well be a discontinued print (which is a shame because it’s fabulous!).
