Can we talk about Amazon?

I’ve been a big fan from the start. From waaaay back in the day when they only sold books. Remember those days?

I’m really dating myself here! 😉

I was an early adopter when they introduced Amazon Prime membership. I was all in.

Free overnight shipping? Free returns? Show me that dotted line to sign!

I’m a card-carrying Amazon Prime member to this day.

And while I could not imagine my life — and depleting bank account — without Amazon in it, I do have a gripe or two that has nothing to do with my depleting bank account.

That’s something between me and my therapist. 😉

In the past … in those early Amazonian days … I would see a picture and a price and I would place an order. And the next day (or a few days, depending on what delivery I chose) said item would arrive. I would eagerly open the package and lo and behold I would find exactly what I ordered. Picture perfect, you could say.

But lately, the Amazon pictures and the product delivered don’t always match. This is especially true when it comes to items of clothing.

The fabric is off. Something that looked like cotton was some odd poly blend. That big oversized comfy looking sweater was too small. Or scratchy. Or the color didn’t match. Or the sleeves would be oddly short. Or oddly long.

Or all of the above.

I can’t tell you how many items of clothing I’ve purchased and returned.

Thankfully that prime membership comes with free delivery and free returns.

But one Amazon product area I’ve had a pretty good track record with is pillow covers. I’ve been pleasantly surprised by the quality … and price.
